My Legacy is proud to partner with MFC Soccer, a Rexdale-based non-profit club that's spent over 15 years giving Somali and neighbourhood youth a place to play, belong, and grow — on and off the pitch.

Just like My Legacy nurtures faith and fitness in youth through sport, MFC Soccer has spent well over a decade turning fields in Rexdale and Etobicoke into a home base for kids who need one — regardless of background, ability, or income. It's the kind of community-first work we're glad to stand behind.
MFC Soccer
Founded in 2009, MFC Soccer began as a small group of neighbourhood kids kicking a ball around in Rexdale and grew into a full non-profit soccer club serving youth and adults across Etobicoke. What started as a way to keep local Somali-Canadian kids active and off the sidelines has become a program that welcomes any child who wants to play.
The club runs structured seasons, training sessions, and tournaments, giving kids consistent coaching, teammates, and a reason to show up — while keeping the door open to families for whom club sports aren't always affordable or accessible.
My Legacy supports MFC's programming through fundraising, equipment drives, and shared events, helping make sure cost is never the reason a kid sits out.
Abdirahim Ali
Founder, MFC SoccerAbdirahim Ali started MFC Soccer in 2009 out of a simple belief: every kid in Rexdale deserved a team to belong to. What began as informal games for local Somali-Canadian youth turned into a lasting non-profit club, built and run largely on volunteer time and community support.
Over the years, Abdirahim has kept the club's mission simple — develop young players, keep them connected to their community, and never turn a kid away because of where they're from or what they can afford. MFC Soccer today reflects that founding spirit: rooted in the Somali community that built it, and open to every family in the neighbourhood who wants in.
